Background: 

In the urban and peri-urban area of N’Djamena, enhancing the use of ECOSAN latrines promotes the use of their by-products in urban market gardening ;

 

Objectives: 

Contribute to the development of an organic market gardening sector that is resilient to climate change in N’Djamena, creating economic opportunities for women and men through the fight against soil degradation and by increasing its fertility.

Expected Results: 
  • Market gardening production is improved in regard to quality and quantity ;
  • Soils are reconstituted thanks to biological waste and the impact of waste treatment is reduced ;
  • Stakeholders are more aware of and involved in ecological issues.
