Taking advantage of his stay in Lomé in Togo as part of a meeting with the West African Development Bank (Boad), the Executive Secretary of the Conseil de l’Entente, Doctor Patrice Kouamé and his delegation paid a courtesy call on RAAF in the afternoon of February 4, 2020. This meeting was a good platform for the Executive Director of RAAF, Mr Ousseini Salifou and his colleagues to remind the visitors of the context of the creation of RAAF, its mandate and the main areas of intervention currently covered.

On this basis, the two managers discussed possible opportunities and areas of collaboration and synergies. To recall, this afternoon discussions fall within ongoing discussions and initiatives and a global MoU already signed between the Executive Secretariat of the Conseil de l’Entente and the ECOWAS Commission.

These consultations undertaken by the Conseil de l’Entente with RAAF and other specialized agencies and institutions of ECOWAS aim to identify targeted areas of cooperation and the signing of specific MoUs that can easily facilitate the implementation of concrete actions on the ground for the benefit of the populations of the region.
