ECOWAS Resident Representative in Togo paid a visit to RAAF

The Regional Agency for Agriculture and Food (RAAF) welcomed Her Excellency Ms Deweh Emily Gray, ECOWAS Resident Representative in Togo, on her first official visit to the Agency.

This visit, which is part of her series of meetings with regional institutions based in Togo, enabled the ECOWAS Representative to meet with the Executive Director, Mr KONLANI Kanfitin, and the staff of the RAAF, to gain a better understanding of the agency's mandate, its areas of intervention, its challenges and its achievements. She reaffirmed her support for strengthening regional agricultural policy and food security, in line with ECOWAS's objectives for regional integration and development. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss prospects for collaboration and strengthen synergies between the ECOWAS Resident Representative in Togo, the ARAA and other institutions.

RAAF welcomes this visit, which is a constant expression of ECOWAS' support for its ongoing efforts to coordinate projects and programmes contributing to the achievement of the regional agricultural policy, ECOWAP.

On her part, Her Excellency Ms Deweh Emily Gray welcomes the achievements of RAAF in the field accross ECOWAS Member States, expresses her strong encouragement to RAAF and reaffirmes her willingness to strengthen collaboration with the agency for more convincing results in the years to come.
